Fruits and Nuts....Oh My!!!

If you haven't been to your local farmers market or produce stand lately, you've been missing out on some amazing fruit! My latest haul from the produce stand included juicy and delicious peaches, fabulously sweet strawberries, sweet and crunchy apples, and a mango that's still ripening.

Don't know what to do with all this fruit? Here's some super quick ideas.....

• Rinse em' and eat em'....just like you did when you were a kid.

• Cut em' up and put into your morning oatmeal.

• Cut em' up and put into your salads.

• Cut em' up and put into yogurt or on top of ice cream.

• Smoothies.....coconut milk/soy milk + fruit + protein powder + ice.....or, create your own concoction.

And then there's the nuts. Nuts can be great sources of omega 3's. Especially walnuts. What do you do with the nuts? Same things you do with the fruits!

My favorite snack....a piece of fruit with a small handful of walnuts or almonds! The perfect couple!
